Matt Burkholder brings a unique blend of grit, leadership, and people-first values to his role at Pro Quality Cleaning. A graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College with an associate’s degree in Computer Networking, Matt continued his academic journey at Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2006. While there, he competed as a Division I wrestler and qualified for the NCAA Nationals—an achievement that speaks to his discipline, resilience, and competitive spirit.

After college, Matt began his professional career as a Computer Repair Technician at Circuit City, where he quickly transitioned into retail management. In 2009, he entered the grocery retail industry, spending the next 15 years with Aldi and Lidl. Rising through the ranks to become a District Manager, Matt led store remodels, opened new locations, and consistently delivered double-digit growth. But it was the hands-on work—mopping floors, scraping gum, and running scrubbers—that grounded his leadership style in humility and hard work.

In 2024, Matt made a pivotal career shift, trading the relentless pace of retail for a more balanced, purpose-driven role at Pro Quality Cleaning. Motivated by the desire to spend holidays with family and weekends outdoors with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Roxie, Matt now channels his operational expertise into building a company that values people as much as performance. He believes that great customer service starts and stops with the janitor, and he’s committed to hiring, training, and supporting custodians who take pride in their work. Under his leadership, Pro Quality Cleaning emphasizes living wages, benefits, and a culture of empowerment—ensuring that every team member has the tools and support to exceed client expectations.

Today, Matt lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife and two children, where he oversees branch operations, mentors staff, and partners closely with clients. Whether he’s implementing scalable systems for sustainable growth or walking a job site to ensure quality, Matt’s mission is clear: to raise the standard of commercial cleaning by putting people first—both inside and outside the company.
